The Charles Olson Research Collection

How to Use the Collection

We have designed this website to give students, researchers and Olson-enthusiasts remote access to many of the materials in the Charles Olson Research Collection at the University of Connecticut. Some sections, such as the Photographs and Olson's Melville Project, provide researchers with comprehensive digital images of the materials in that particular series. Other sections simply list the materials available in the Collection, inviting scholars to preview our holdings and select items they will wish to view when visiting our reading room.

The John P. McDonald Reading Room, which provides public access to Archives & Special Collections in the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center, is generally open Monday through Friday, 10AM - 4PM, with additional hours during the Spring and Fall semesters. A detailed schedule of reading room hours and additional information about the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center and its policies may be found at: Researchers may also contact the Reference Desk in Archives & Special Collections at 860.486.2524.
